ONE-GAME CONTRACTS
TAFFL
HEAT™ introduces a Triangle Area Flag Football League Exclusive with this one!
For the first time ever in a flag football league, players can receive actual
PAID One-Game Contracts.
Any player,
registered in TAFFL HEAT™ (or not), can be offered a paid one-game contract by a
team's GM, which will be paid using a team's
Budget Account.
Contracts are a
minimum of $5.00 and up to the maximum of a team's budget account.
There is a 20%
Contract Arbitration Fee for One-Day Contracts, ie. for every $5 offered in a
contract, the Front Office will receive $1.00 for arbitrating and processing.
There will be an additional $5.00 Non-Registered
Participant Fee Associated with non-registered players.
Players may accept
any contract offer from any team, however contracts cannot be offered or honored
in the playoffs. Also, a player may only deny a contract up to three (3)
times. In the event of a refusal to accept a contract on a fourth attempt,
the 'contracted' player and his original team will be fined. The amount of
the fine will be 30% of the original offered amount and an additional 20% for
the execution and arbitrating of the contract and refusal. These funds
will be deducted from that player's original team's budget account. The
30% rejection penalty will be added to the offering team's budget account.
Please note the
following restrictions and exceptions.
*A player may accept
as many contracts as he is offered.
*A team may only contain at most in any game, two (2), contracted players.
EXCEPTION
A team who runs the risk of forfeit, can contract players up to seven (7) roster
spots. For example, if a team is only able to field four original rostered
players, an exception will be granted that will allow them to contract three (3)
players for a total of seven (7).
*Statistics for contracted players will not be added to a player's totals for
HEAT™. However, statistics for the offering team will be counted, even if
the play involves a contracted player. i.e. QB 1 (offering team) throws a TD
pass to Player 2 (contracted player), Player 2 will not receive statistics that
will be added to his current totals, however QB 1 will receive all statistics
associated with the play.
*Contracts expire at the conclusion of the game and cannot be carried over.
*If a contract is offered prior to the weekend and accepted, that player is
required to play as much as is needed or suggested by the team's Coach or
General Manager. A contracted player should not leave the game early
(unless due to injury). In the event a player leaves the game, refuses to
play, or doesn't even show up after being contracted, a fine in the amount of
60% of the original contracted amount, plus a 20% contract cancellation fee will
be deducted from the contracted player's original team.
*Contracts will be paid in cash at the conclusion of the contracted game as long
as all terms and conditions are met.
*Teams will not be allowed to negotiate contracts with players on their own.
Teams cannot offer cash to players. In other words, a team's GM cannot
tell the Front Office that they offered and 'took care' of a contracted player.
All contracts must be reviewed, arbitrated, and accepted by the League Front
Office. A team may only use their team's budget account to pay players and in
the event, a team's budget account is lower than a contracted amount, they must
make a direct deposit to the Front Office and the Front Office will pay the
contract. Team's are not allowed to pay contracted players directly.
Failure to abide by the one-game contract rules will result in severe penalties,
up to 50% of a team's current budget account balance.
